Oak Mountain State Park
The equestrian campground has 12 sites nestled on the southwestern end of the 9,940 acres of Oak Mountain State park. Each site has 50 amp service, water and sewer hook ups, dump station for horse waste, fire rings, and picnic tables.
There are 14 miles of horse friendly trails here.
The longest horse trail is the equestrian only Orange Trail and is 10.7 miles long. The trail begins at the stables (located on John Findley Drive) and winds around through the woods to end back at the stables. The Orange Trail is for horses only, no foot or bike traffic.
