Cleveland National Forest

Campground Coordinates: 32.72960, -116.48286

Many miles of trails including access to the Pacific Crest Trail

Day use parking available

Cleveland National Forest is home to the Boulder Oaks Campground. Amongst the 30 sites here are 17 equestrian designated sites. The equestrian sites have corrals. Each site has grills and picnic table. This is a dry camp so bring water for both you and your stock.

The main draw at Boulder Oaks is access to the Pacific Crest Trail which runs directly through the camp on its way to Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.

The campground is closed seasonally (March 1st through June 15th) for Arroyo Toad breeding season.

To make reservations, call (877) 444-6777 or reserve on line.

USFS passes are required here.

The Pacific Crest Trail is very well marked and trail markers are frequently encountered.  Trail difficulty ranges for flat and smooth to steep and rocky.

These trails are open to hikers, cyclists, as well as horseback riders.
