The Orick Trailhead (located at the Orick Rodeo Grounds) offers access to four loop trail as well as two stock-ready camps all of which
create the possibility of several days of riding throughout the Redwood National Park.

- The four loops departing from the Orick trailhead provide several days’ worth of riding, views of the Pacific Ocean and Orick Valley as the trail climbs a ridge and then wanders throughout the redwood forest.
- Overnight camping also available at Orick rodeo Grounds (trailhead) with flush toilet, water, and electricity.
- Backcountry camping: Elam Creek Camp is located near a creek for stock water, offers a corral, picnic tables, bear proof lockers, and toilets. No more than 12 stock animals permitted.

- Permits are required for overnight use on the Orick Horse Trail
- Feed for stock must be in the form of pellets or certified weed-free feed.
- Animals may not graze park vegetation.
- Animals must be hobbled or tied to a hitching post when unattended.
