Purgatoire Campground

Pike and San Isabel National Forest

Trinidad, Colorado

The campground is located at the headwaters of the Purgatoire River at 9,800 feet elevation. Purgatoire has 23 campsites of which 8 are large grassy horse campsites (Unfortunately, no corrals). There are 3 double-vault toilets. All food must be stored in bear-proof containers. Potable water from a well pump.
