MYAKKA RIVER STATE PARK

DAY USE ONLY

Four main loop trails totaling almost 16 miles will take you through the park’s wilderness backcountry on horseback. Ride across open prairies dotted with numerous small marshes, and hammocks of cabbage palms and oak trees. Deer, turkey and many kinds of wading birds can often be seen in this area. You may also encounter bobcats, otters, bald eagles, sandhill cranes and alligators.

The total length of the four-loop trail is about 15.7 miles. Numbered trail markers are provided at each turn or junction. Please remain on the designated trails.

Fee Area:

$5.00 fee includes park admission and riding. No special permit required. No water. Please note: Riders must bring proof of current negative Coggins test.
