More than 20 miles of horse trails offer loop rides varying from 3 miles to 16 miles. On these horse trails you will pass through a variety of landscapes such as lush forest coves and wind swept ridge tops. Enjoy sensational wildflowers in spring and brilliant hues of green foliage in the summer. Renew your love of vibrant colors in the fall and extraordinary views in the winter. Cliffs and waterfalls as well as abandoned mines that blow naturally cool and warm air throughout the seasons, give added appeal to your horseback riding experience.

Day riders and horse campers at Fort Mountain State Park must head out from the equestrian concessionaire’s facility located adjacent to the park.
