Trailhead Coordinates: 33.66544, -83.59528
While this park may be best known for its golf course, The Creek, it also offers a wide range of recreational opportunities in a beautiful wooded setting. More than 24 miles of trails are available for equestrian usage at Hard Labor State Park. Horse and mule can enjoy their own camping area near stalls.
Two main trails are available for horse and mule use:
LAKE RUTLEDGE
EQUESTRIAN TRAIL
This 14-mile trail travels through both
mature hardwood and hardwood/pine forests. Most striking are the bottoms
and the creeks that course through them.
LAKE BRANTLEY

This 8-mile trail has both pine and hardwood
forests. Deep gorges and granite outcroppings are common. A rock quarry
used by the Civilian Conservation Corps can also be observed.
