At 9,049 acres, F.D. Roosevelt is Georgia’s largest state park. More than 28 miles of dedicated equestrian trails wind through hardwood and pines, over creeks and past small waterfalls. Many people are surprised to find rolling mountains 80 miles southeast of Atlanta.

It’s encouraged that stock should be shod as the terrain is rather rocky and rough on hooves.

Day riders and horse campers at F.D. Roosevelt State Park must head out from the equestrian concessionaire’s facility located adjacent to the park.
