Watson Mill Bridge State Park

Comer, GA

Trailhead Coordinates: 34.03927, -83.06358

Known as one of the most picturesque state parks in Georgia, Watson Mill Bridge contains the longest covered bridge in the state, spanning 229 feet across the South Fork River. While you may not be riding across the bridge you will be able to ride the over 14 miles of well maintained trails that meander through the gently sloping forest. The park is an ideal spot for either a quick day ride or an overnight stay at the campground.

Fees: Horseback Riding ($10 trail fee, annual passes available) -

NOTICE: Horse trails and Park Office open at 8am. Current negative coggins test must be presented at park office before entering trails.

Amenities: Camping area/ Stalls / Restrooms/ Shower House /

There are 14 miles of designated horse trails in the park. Bicycles and dogs are not allowed on these trails.

 Along the creeks, large hardwoods with high canopies will be seen. Some of the formerly “timber” managed areas are now predominately pine forests and a few “old” abandoned field areas.
