Keep Your Outdoor Adventures Safe and Enjoyable!

What To Pack On Your Bike

When I take the bike out I try to carry all of the following items.

Things to take riding:

Things that are definitely recommended before riding:

  • Bike shorts

  • A Camelbak-type product to carry both water and gear

  • Spare tube

  • A quality mini-pump (My Blackburn has been good to me)

  • Tube patch kit

  • Minitool (I carry a Topeak) - with Spoke Wrench, Chain-Breaker tool, and Tire levers)

  • Gloves - I like Manzellas

CamelBak MULE - GREAT GEAR

Other things that I've carried in my pack:

  • Handi wipes - makes cleaning hands easy for repairs or first aid

  • Small alcohol pads - good to clean tubes for patches and are nice for first aid

  • Some form of ID

  • Cell phone - Make sure it's ICED

  • Small first aid kit

  • Zip-ties in assorted sizes

  • A couple feet of duct tape (just fold it around itself for a nice compact package)

  • Insect Repellent - During the summer

  • Small flashlight

  • Pliers - I keep a Gerber Multi-Tool

  • A small Emergency kit - I made my own, learn more about it HERE

  • Some cash
