If you wear lace up riding boots try bending your ankle when you lace them for more comfort during your ride. I prop the front of my foot on a step with my heel on the ground when I lace up. When I lace up this way, with my foot in the same position it will be in while in the stirrup, I find my boots fit much better, which keeps me in the saddle longer!

I like lace ups over traditional cowboy boots because I think they're more secure on my foot. The tip above makes them even more comfortable.
