Over 40 miles of horse friendly trails await equestrians at Salamonie River State Forest / Lost Bridge West SRA in Indiana. With about 20 mile of trails in each of the connected trails systems you’re sure to have a great time here.
Riders can expect hills and bluffs along the Salamonie River and more moderate riding further from the water. Trails are arranged in a system of loops so you can go for rides of any length that you desire.
The Horsemen's Campground offers primitive camping with no electricity but they do have potable water, toilet, and shelter house.
Overall this is a wonderful and beautiful area to ride with some challenging trail and great camping.
Bridle tags are required for each horse, or mule. Contact the park office for fee schedule (260) 468-2125.
