Randolph State Park

Manhattan, Kansas

Tuttle Creek Reservoir, the state's second largest impoundment, offers about 100 miles of rugged, wooded shoreline to explore.

There are 14.75 miles of trails at Randolph State Park, part of the Tuttle Creek Park System.  The park is located on the east side of Tuttle Creek Lake west of Olsburg, Kansas.  The park is divided by Highway 16, but there is year-round trail access under the mile long Randolph Bridge.  During warm months the best parking is on the south side where there are showers, drinking water, a dump station, several horse corrals and some electrical hookups.  The north side has a water hydrant available year-round.

There are map boxes in several places for trail information.  The blue trail starts near the shower house and meets the white trail.  Here one can continue on blue or go for a longer trip on the white.  For additional mileage, another blue trail intersects the white near a boat ramp on the north side.

These trails are moderate to difficult, with lots of rocks and tight switchbacks.  Horseshoes are recommended for equestrian mounts.  There are some spectacular views of the lake and the "long" bridge.    Usually there is NO water on the trail, so come prepared.
