INSTRUCTIONS
to tie a
Clove Hitch
Often
vilified the Clove hitch is a good knot to know
if only so that you can learn about its
weaknesses. I've used this to secure well broke
horses to a rail, other than that I tend to
avoid it.
Safety:
Ropes and the
knots associated with rope, can be dangerous. If
improperly handled, or tied, ropes can kill and
you could be the victim! Always use rope with
care and inspect and test any knots you
tie. Respect ropes subject to a heavy load,
especially your own climbing rope. The danger
associated with ropes under load is often
learned by painful experience.
