Ortonville State Recreation area (Hadley Hills)

Ortonville Recreation Area and Ortonville State recreation area

Ortonville, Michigan

Better known as Hadley Hills, Ortonville Recreation Area has about 12 miles of well marked trails over hilly and rolling area, some areas are rocky or muddy, and the trail system is mostly wooded. Many small lakes and ponds are along the trails.

A 25-site rustic equestrian campground is located at the trailhead and has vault toilets and a hand pump for water. The campground is on a first come first serve basis for campers. The campground offers no reservations. Some sites are shaded and some full sun.

The trails are very well maintained and marked. Each trail intersection has a map of the trail system with an indicator where you are on the map.
