Red Canyon Campground
Mountainair District, Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands
Sitting at an elevation of 7,600 feet is the Red
Canyon Campground with 38 camp spots including corrals for stock use,
vault toilets, and picnic tables. The campground is large and well
shaded. The horse camp consists of campsites #39-50. Many of the sites
are close together.
Red Canyon is good starting point for trips into the Manzano Wilderness via Red and Spruce Canyon trails.
This is a dry camp; the nearest water is at Manzano Mts State Park, three miles away.
