What to Expect

  • Four main loop trails (Right Loop Trail, Left Loop Trail, Mouse Branch Loop Trail, and Thompson Loop Trail) that wander through forests of mixed pine and hardwoods on a peninsula stretching into Fontana Lake.
  • Mountain bikers and equestrians, the primary users of this area, are kept separated by alternating use of the trails. A schedule is posted at all trailhead.
  • The upper trailhead parking lot is reserved for horse users. Facilities include a restroom, picnic tables, and information boards.
  • The Tsali Campground offers 42 campsites with showers and flush toilets, and are offered at this campground.
  • Showers and Flush toilets available at the Tsali Campground from April 15- October 31
