Sisters Cow Camp Horse Camp

Nearest Town - Sisters, Oregon

Land Manager - Deschutes National Forest - Sisters Ranger District

Only 5 miles from Sisters Oregon, Sisters Cow Camp Horse Camp Campground is situated in mixed conifer and offers corrals and stock water. Potable water is not provided. The campground can be extremely busy during the weekends and holidays. Sisters Cow Camp provides 5 sites and has a maximum spur of 40 feet. All of the campsites are primitive with no potable water or electricity. 

As the camp lies along the Metolius Windigo Trail, riders can use this trail to access the Three Sisters Wilderness area. The trail is open to horses and hikers, but closed to mountain bikes.

Best SEASON: May to October

LOCATION: off Hwy. 242 west of Sisters

ACCESS: from Sisters, 1.7 miles west on Hwy. 242, then about 3 miles south on Rd. 15.

ELEVATION: 3400 feet

FACILITIES: vault toilet, one large corral (shared), water for horses

SITES: 5 RV/Trailer/Tent

MAXIMUM SPUR LENGTH: 40 feet

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: trails, early season access, access to the Metolius Windigo Trail (#99)

FEE: NONE
