WHISPERING PINES

Land Manager: Deschutes National Forest - Sisters Ranger District

The campground is rustic, so bring your own drinking water. However, it is an easy ride to get up near the Sisters Wilderness Area and the lower area below the north Sisters. Whispering Pines is only about eleven miles from Sisters, OR but closer to the high country than many other nearby campgrounds. Rustic does mean, however, that the camp may not be large enough to easily accommodate larger LQ horse trailers. The views of the mountains are wonderful regardless of the difficulties in getting here.

Trailhead access to the Three Sisters Wilderness area from FR 1024, to the west of the campground, and from FR 1026, south and west of the campground. The trails link to a larger network of trails within the wilderness area with access to the Millican Crater, Yapoah Lake, Scott Pass, and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail.
