HOCKING STATE FOREST
Hocking provides a variety of recreational
opportunities in a splendid natural setting. The area has towering
cliffs, waterfalls and deep hemlock-shaded gorges to lure the
adventurous horse and mule rider
While stock use is not permitted at Hocking
Hills State Park, there are miles and miles of outstanding equestrian
riding opportunities in the adjacent Hocking State Forest.
Spread over 9,267 acres, Hocking State Forest has over 40 miles of trails available for equestrian usage.
Hocking also boasts a Horse Camp with 23 sites available on a first come first served basis. Drinking water is not always available so riders should bring additional potable water.
