Cheap enough that when you lose or break it (it will happen) you won’t cry too long. One of the most important things about a compass is the ability to adjust the declination for your area. Here in Seattle there’s an 18 degree variation from true north and this tool makes it very easy for you to stay found. The bright green baseplate may also keep you from losing it!
