ENO DOUBLENEST Packs small, weighs little, and is much better than sleeping on the ground. Rocky ground, sloping ground, doesn’t matter, as long as you’ve got two trees reasonably close you’ll have a good night’s sleep.
PROS – Many to include: In a hammock, there is no fear of a root or rock going into your back or bottom Set up time can be considerably quicker than a conventional tent Hammocks leave less trace and impact than a tent. More comfortable than sleeping on the ground Comfort and convenience.
Hammocks are extremely convenient when setting up camp. While others are still clearing their tent site of rocks and roots, or trying to find a level spot, a hammock can be strung up, and a small rain tarp staked out. It only takes a few moments to find two suitable trees, and no ground clearing is necessary. Sleep over rocks, on slopes or a running stream! It's Leave No Trace camping! CONS The “double” is only for cat naps in the back yard. If you plan on using a hammock in the wilderness while hiking, back packing, etc. you'll want to take one for each person in the group.
