Potters Pond

Manti La Sal National Forest

Mount Pleasant, Utah

Potters Pond Campground is located in a high mountain valley next to two sparkling ponds at an elevation of 8,900 feet. Pines and grasses cover the area, and aspens dot the surrounding mountainsides. The ponds offer great fishing for rainbow trout, with scenic views from the shore.

This campground has vault toilets but no electricity, water, or hookups. It is a "pack it in, pack it out site", so all trash must be removed upon departure. Some sites have views of the ponds, and most of the sites are shaded by pines. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Roads and parking spurs are dirt. There is a campground host onsite. Campground is reached via the well-maintained dirt/gravel Miller Flat Road, providing good access for cars and RVs. This campground has 19 sites. Sites #16 through #19 are horse sites and can only be reserved by campers with horses. Site #19 is a horse double site.

The expansive Arapeen ATV Trail System can be accessed from the campground, and has 350+ miles of designated, well-maintained trails for ATVs and OHVs and is suitable for all riding levels. Horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking are popular in the area as well.
