Battle Park Trailhead
Bighorn National Forest
Sitting at over 9,000 in elevation Battle Park has a short open season but when it is accessible it’s very popular.
The best times to visit are July and August. During the off season services such as the well pump are turned off.
15 single camp sites are available as well as dispersed camping areas prior to the trailhead.
USFS Directions: From Ten Sleep, WY, take Hwy 16 east . Turn left at sign onto FSR 27, cross a bridge and go 2 miles, then turn left onto FSR 24. Trailhead is at the end of FSR 24.
