A meandering
walk,
with an elevation gain of only 400 feet, in
the shadow of Baring Mountain which towers
over 3,700 feet above you. The trail to
Barclay
Lake
is a good choice for hikers of all
ages as it won't beat anyone into submission
and offers stunning views on nearby ridges
and, of course, Barclay Lake. So, take the easy hike through mixed forest along

Barclay
Lake.
You'll see some old growth trees as
well as trillium,
wood violets, bleeding heart, salmonberry,
and deer ferns as you travel along trail.

A short distance past the bridge lies
Barclay
Lake
at an elevation of 2,440 feet, with Baring Mountain (elevation
6,125 feet) reaching 3,700' straight up. Picnic
here, or follow the north side of the
lake
to a second picnic spot.
