Cody Horse Camp

Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Cowlitz Valley Ranger District

Views of Mount Adams, creeks, lakes, lava flows, meadows, and canyons.

Many inter connecting trails enable mile and miles of riding opportunities. Cody is adjacent to the Klickitat trail system, and the Klickitat Horse Trail 7A. Views into the Cispus River Valley are simply astounding.

Day use parking consists of a large lot suitable for 10 or more truck trailer rigs. The day use lot is located past the camping area.

Camping opportunities at Cody include 16 pull through sites each with high line, fire pit, and picnic table. A vault toilet is located centrally as is a well pump for human and stock water and a stock water trough.

The Cody Camp sits at an elevation of 3,114 ft and as such the best times to enjoy this area are during the summer after the trails have shed their winter snow.

For those wanting to ride and camp in this area and have the luxury of more amenities; Walupt Horse Camp is located within riding distance to the Northeast.
