Corral Pass offers outstanding mountain and
valley views and has a large parking and
camping area, complete with stock water
tanks and vault toilet. Unfortunately, the
only access is Forest Service Road #7174 and
it is considered impassable for horse
trailers.
From
Echo Lake head south on Greenwater Trail
#1176 which you’ll stay on until you reach
Corral Pass. On the way you’ll pass by
Hidden Lake before you start climbing to
Corral Pass’s 5680 feet elevation. Several
switchbacks make the grade easier and a few
mountain streams will refresh you on the
way.
