O’Grady Regional Park, located on the Green
River, is equidistant from the towns of
Enumclaw and Black Diamond, Washington.
Parking at the end of 188 Ave SE is
sufficient for 4-5 cars or trucks and
trailers. Be courteous and don’t block the
private drive on the west end of the lot.
From
the parking area you’ll follow the service
road to the Green River. The distance to the
trailheads and the river is about 1 mile and
you’ll drop about 500 in elevation on your
way.
There are two main trails, both accessed
from the end of the service road. If the
weather has included rain in recent past, be
prepared for muddy conditions on both
trails.
Trail #1 - Heading to the east, is the first
trail you’ll find and is an out and back
trail that visits the Green River after
climbing into the river valley’s surrounding
hills. Pass over the new bridge built in
memory of a member of the Enumclaw
Backcountry Horsemen Group and then work
your way back down into the flat river
bottom.

Trail #2 - Head west on this lolly pop loop
trail that winds its way through the Green
River bottom and passes by many places next
to the river for rest breaks or just to
enjoy the view.
All
told there are several miles of trail here
most of them in the flat bottom of the river
valley. If you’re prepared for mud and
sloppy conditions you’ll have a good outing.
