Twisp River Horse Camp
Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest
Twisp, Washington
The camp ground is situated under Crescent Mountain and has 12 sites each with shade from Jeffrey pine and Douglas fir forest that the camp is located in. Camp amenities are limited to a vault toilet and stock water from the adjacent Twisp River.
This camp was developed and is maintained by the Methow Valley Chapter of the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington.
The elevation is 3,100ft so the best times to visit are late spring through mid fall.
From the camp riders have access to many trails including the Twisp River and Scatter Creek Trails. About 15 mile of trails are easily accessible for stock users.
