What to Expect

  • Many Mount Baldy trails are located on private property timber forest. Please remember this during your ride and respect all LNT rules and common courtesies.
  • Some of the more popular horse trails in this area include: Bear Ridge which reaches the top of Mnt Baldy. Knee Knocker, as the name implies it’s steep and narrow! The Mickey Mouse trail is a scenic connector trail between the Mnt Baldy and Mud Mountain trailheads.
  • Trails here range from rocky to smooth and easy. Be prepared for moderately steep terrain regardless of the trail tread.
  • If you like the trails at Mount Baldy but want to avoid purchasing a permit, you should consider nearby Taylor Mountain or Danville Georgetown.

Rules and Regulations
