The Silvermine Horse Camp in Natchaug State Forest is home to over 10 miles of equestrian friendly trails as well as 15 wooded horse camping sites.

What to Expect

• The Silvermine horse camp is a very popular horse riding and camping area
• Over 10 miles of trails and 15 dedicated equestrian camping sites
• This is a primitive camp with only basic facilities such as toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings.
• No potable water

Rules and Regulations

• Land Manager = Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
• Camping area opens in mid-April and closes on Thanksgiving
