Trap Pond State Park

 

Equestrian trail riders at Trap Pond users will find a diverse landscape of mixed hardwood forests, wooded riparian corridors, bald cypress trees, abundant birds and wildflowers, and the historic Bethesda Church along the nearly 4 miles of trail open to horse and mule use.

What to Expect

  • Equestrian users should park in lots near the Nature Center and screened pavilion.
  • In the southeast portion of the park a portion of the Boundary Trail follows Wootten and Little Hill Roads passing the Bethesda Church to complete the loop.

Rules and Regulations

  • Land Manager = Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control
  • Riders are responsible for cleaning up after their horses on roadways and in parking areas.
