Zumbro Bottoms
Zumbro Bottoms is located within the Richard J. Dorer Memorial Hardwood State Forest and is said to be among the best places in Minnesota
for horseback riding. With over 44 miles of interconnected loop trails,
three equestrian campgrounds,
and a day use area this is one state forest to plan a visit to.

- The Central horse camp offers 16 primitive horse campsites that include fire ring, table, vault toilet, hand-pumped well, picket lines, tie rails, and manure disposal. Portable corrals are allowed.
- The North horse camp offers 6 primitive horse campsites that include fire ring, table, vault toilet, hand-pumped well, picket lines, tie rails, and manure disposal. Portable corrals are allowed.
- The West horse camp offers 50 primitive horse campsites that include fire ring, table, vault toilet, hand-pumped well, picket lines, tie rails, and manure disposal. Portable corrals are allowed.

- Horseback riding trails are open May 1st - November 1st
- A negative Coggins test is required
