Wilderness Park
Lincoln, Nebraska
Wilderness Park is a long and narrow mixed use trail system shared with hikers and bicyclists.
Most trail intersections are well marked; in a few spots the trails overlap. The trail wanders along with the meandering Salt Creek
that runs through the park. Be prepared to go under overpasses
& over bridges. Wilderness is a good place to get a green horse used
to the unknown. Two distinct trails – one for mountain bikes, and one for horses – exist on the West side of Salt Creek.
Horses and cyclists share some sections of the trail, so be careful.
