If you use a rope halter you can save yourself trouble and aggravation by tying the halter properly.
The best way to tie a rope halter:
Tie the halter so that it looks like the picture below and you'll be set!
Below is an illustration of an incorrect halter knot. A halter tied in this manner will slip, jam, and be a pain in the you know what. If your knot looks like this, try again.
