Trail Details

Little Si is a distinct mountain apart
from the better known and more visited Mount Si. Located across a
valley to the west of its big brother Little Si has a summit
elevation of 1,576 and gives those who hike it a climb of 1,053
feet.

Little Si is a great trail to take if you don't
want to fight the crowds at Mount Si just up the road. Since the
trail head is smaller the number of hikers that can get on the trail
is reduced, but don't expect solitude on this hike.
Numerous
bouldering and rock climbing opportunities are found on the little
Si trail. Sheer cliffs rising 800 to 900 feet tower overhead as you
hike up the valley trail before to tackle the summit from the north.

Mid way up the valley floor is a bench in
memory of a local climber who
disappeared while returning from the summit of Mount Everest.

Views from the summit itself are magnificent.
To the east look up at Mount Si's cliffs. Looking South gives you
glimpses of Rattlesnake Ledge. To the west you'll have views of the
valley stretching to Puget Sound.
