I camped at the Godman campground four nights. The best spot for a truck and trailer is next to the old barn. The campsites on the other side of the parking lot are pretty small. The barn spot is just a short walk away from a water trough with a constant supply of spring water. For my 1st ride, I rode the Forest Service road to the Teepee Trailhead, intending to take the East and West Butte trails back to camp. It's about 6 miles from Godman to the trailhead and once I got there, I couldn't locate the East Butte trail (3112). I think it must be located somewhere off the Mount Misery trail but I didn't see it. The Misery trail didn't go in a direction to get me back to camp and I knew I had another 6 miles back by road, so I just turned around and rode the FS road back. There's not much shade on the road and it was a long, hot ride back. Not recommended. Trailering would have been a better idea or waiting for a cooler day.
