Submitted by nailss Difficulty: Easy Distance: 7.8 We parked at the Surry Line trailhead which also gives access to Pilot Mountain State Park using the Corridor Trail. I looked forward to experiencing this community based trail that runs between Pilot Mountain SP to Hanging Rock SP. While the trail is enjoyable and contains interesting elements as you pass past private homes we did run into 2 places where the trail marking stopped. The 1st place was as you come to the overpass with Hwy 52 overhead. We burned a lot of riding time searching for what happened to the trail. We finally found soft ground with horse tracks to follow.The 2nd location where a trail reroute was done sending the rider down to a small creek. There were tracks straight across the creek to a road. However, we learned on the way back the trail turns sharply the left and after searching still didn't find any markers pointing the correct way.After wasting all of the time looking for the trail we were disappointed and decided to call it a day. We will return again to ride more of this trail.
