Submitted by nailss Difficulty: Easy Distance: 6.54 We are struggling to keep up with the plugged up culverts under the carriage roads. This summer the park service made a change in the way maintenance is down to the rhododendron along some of the trails. This change has lead to the culverts becoming plugged with branches and then rotting leaves causing the water to flow over the trails leading quickly to deep erosion on the steeper grades. Another 4 hours spend digging out the inlets of the culverts.
