Over 100 miles of trails in Lassen are open to stock users who wish to use horses and mules to visit Lassen’s peaceful mountain forests as well as its hissing fumaroles and boiling mud pots.
- Land Manager is Lassen Volcanic National Park
- A backcountry use permit is required for all stock use.
- Overnight camping with stock is not permitted in the backcountry.
- Sites for stock parties are available by reservation only at www.recreation.gov
