20 miles of single and wide marked horse trails. Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings and a highlines for the horses. There is an outhouse and a newly drilled well  with an electric pump and a hand pump, all water is potable.

These trails offer hours of quiet, relaxing riding through some of Marinette County’s beautiful forest.  These trails are single and double width, well-marked, and easy to follow.

  • Overnight camping requires a Marinette County Forestry sticker. See Rules and Regulations tab.
  • Please print off trail map before arriving.
  • Check the kiosk at the trailhead for any updates.
  • Camping is primitive – no electricity
  • No reservations.  First come First serve
  • Please keep parking/camping/trail areas cleaner than when you arrived – Throw manure deep into the woods.
  • Donation boxes at trailheads.  Money is used for camping/trail enhancements.

Day riding is free.  Camping at Horse Shoe Falls requires a Marinette County Forestry permit, which is available at:  www.marinettecounty.com/departments/forestry-br/general-information/county-forest-annual-camping-sticker-2000.    This yearly permit is valid also at Horseshoe Falls Equestrian Camp and Trails.

ATV’s are ONLY allowed on Forest Road 901 and Forest Road 902; they are NOT allowed in camp or on trails.
