Athens is located southeast of Dallas, north of Houston, in Henderson County. Coming from Dallas, take SH 175 to the East (runs southeast) to Eustace. At the last light in Eustace (FM 316) measure 6 ½ miles to your left turn onto County Road 3918. A good landmark is a chartreuse diamond sign for Mount Moriah Church just there at CR 3918. There will also be multicolored flagging, pie plate NATRC sign etc. Coming from any other direction than Dallas, go to Athens and get onto Loop 7 on the outskirts of town headed toward the West. There will be an exit for SH 175 on the NW side of town. Take 175 West for 2 and 9/10 miles to CR3918 and take a right (landmark as above-Mount Moriah Church). Once you are on CR 3918 for ½ mile, turn left on CR 3914, and follow it (winding) for 1 and 8/10 to pasture camp on right… there will be flagging, and a banner labeled Trace Trails. We are camping in the hay field on your right, so stay on the road to Ride signs. Registration – Preferred method of registration is via the RMS system.
