A one-of-a-kind piece for a one-of-a-kind animal.
Some animals are more than animals. They’re trail partners, working partners, barn companions, best friends, and members of the family. These custom wall hangings are a way to celebrate them and the memories that come with them.
Send me a favorite photograph of your horse, mule, dog, or cat, and I’ll create a custom portrait from that image. The portrait is cut from wood, painted, and layered over a handcrafted reclaimed-wood background. Your animal’s name can be added to make the piece even more personal.
These make wonderful keepsakes for an animal that’s still very much part of your life, or a meaningful memorial for one that’s gone.
Make It Even More Personal
For horses and mules, I can incorporate one of your animal’s actual horseshoes into the artwork.
And I don’t polish away the history. The scratches and wear are part of its story. That shoe traveled the miles with your horse or mule, and I think those marks belong there.
Each Piece Is Individually Made
Every wall hanging is approximately 18 × 12 inches and built individually in my shop. The reclaimed-wood slats are arranged by hand and surrounded by a solid wood frame.
The portrait and lettering are separate pieces layered over the background rather than printed onto it, giving the finished artwork depth and dimension.
Because of the natural variation in the wood and the custom nature of the artwork, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
