A favorite camp meal of mine is this Peanut Chicken Noodle Recipe. It’s easy to prep, quick to cook, and delicious!

There’re 3 main components to this recipe; the sauce, the carbs, and the protein. The peanut sauce is the key and we’ll put that together first.

NOTE: Peanut sauces are a staple throughout Indonesia and for good reason, They’re darn good.

Sauce Ingredients:

The wet works include:

Peanut Butter – 1/4 cup

Soy Sauce – 2 TBL Spoon

Olive oil – 1 TBL Spoon

Sesame Oil –1 TBL Spoon

Rice vinegar – 1 tsp

The dry works are:

Garlic powder – ½ tsp

Ginger powder – ½ tsp

Coconut Milk Powder – 2 TBL Spoons

Red Pepper Flakes – ¼ tsp

1 – Pouch chicken – or other protein

1 – Bag of ramen noodles

When you’re at camp and ready to eat bring abt 2.5  cups of water to a boil and add the noodles.  FIRST Throw away the spice packet – it’s nasty stuff

Once the noodles are soft spoon the sauce mixture in and stir to dissolve.

NOTE: A good peanut sauce is “not too thick and not too watery.” A good consistency showcases the balance of sweet, spicy and sour. If the sauce is too thick just add more water.

Once the sauce is creamy add the chicken pouch and keep stirring until heated through.

I hope you enjoy this Peanut Chicken Noodle recipe as much as we do. I wish I had known about this ramen makeover in college, I would have eaten much better!
