From Sandy, follow US Hwy 26 southeast for 40 miles. Turn right on Skyline Road (Road 42) and follow it approx. 9 miles to the Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station. Continue another 0.5 mile past the ranger station and turn left on Road 4270.
One of the wonderful things about Joe Graham and Clackamas Lake Horse Camps is their close proximity to Portland – it’s only a 1.5-hour drive to these terrific campgrounds on the south side of Mt. Hood. They are very popular horse camping destinations, so make your reservations early. Many thanks to Kim McCarrel for sharing this riding area!
