Day riders and wilderness campers will both find Waptus Lake a wonderful destination point. The trail begins at the Salmon La Sac Trailhead, passes through the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, and ends at the end of Waptus Lake where it connects to the Pacific Crest Trail.

  • Weed Free Feed is Required here.
  • A Recreation Pass is required at the Salmon La Sac trailhead.
  • Wilderness permits are required to enter the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The self-issuing permits are free and available at trailheads.
